October was filled with frights as malfunctioning electronics took center stage. With personal panic devices failing to operate and diving computers posing drowning risks, manufacturers should keep in mind that life-threatening hazards dramatically increase their potential liability.

As for seasonal items, clown masks were not the only holiday items pulled from shelves this month. Halloween posed different threats for some as LED gel clings were also recalled for posing choking hazards. With the holiday season right around the corner, check the CPSC or manufacturer’s website to make sure your décor and other seasonal items have not been recalled.
